The beginning of the New Year
was begun by a very bad ear ache
Gave trouble through the
night. Had linseed poultices
Nurse kindly placed a nice
rosy apple on each locker.
These were greatly appreciated.
Visit by Matron ?? also
Chaplain. Later did not stay,
Wrote to my little girlie. No 4
also am posting letters to Mater
Mr Adams + Mr Booksay.
Finished reading "Laddie"
also had a read in Song of
Songs. Asked if I could get up this
evening. Surprised "Yes, for a little
while".
